Oil-fuelled central heating is an alternative to gas-fired central heating. It is often used in rural areas where there are no gas mains. It works in the same way to a conventional gas-fired boiler, as the oil is burned as fuel in order to heat water. This, in turn, is pumped around a central heating or out of the taps in your home.

There are several pros to using an oil-fuelled boiler. It is an efficient fuel and this is further improved if a modern oil boiler is used, as some of them have such features as using the hot gases otherwise vented by the flue.
